Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin Announces New Board Members

Stevens Point, Wisconsin – The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin announces the election of three new members to its Board of Directors. The newly elected Board members are Sheryl O’Connell, Mark Scheunemann, and Jeremy Solin.

“As the Community Foundation continues to grow and support so many incredible projects throughout Portage and Waushara Counties, it is important to have a Board of Directors that consists of individuals who share our mission to inspire change and improve the quality of life for all of central Wisconsin,” said Jim Robinson, President of the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin. “These three individuals bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our Board, along with an unsurpassed commitment to our community.”

Sheryl O’Connell serves as the Head of Fixed Income at Sentry Insurance. O’Connell recently moved to Stevens Point from Worcester, Massachusetts where she served as Treasurer and Board Member for Community Legal Aid. As a new member to the community, O’Connell is looking forward to getting more involved.

Mark Scheunemann is a Shareholder at Legacy Accounting & Financial Services, LLC. Scheunemann believes in giving back to the community and supporting organizations that work to improve the quality of life. 

Jeremy Solin works at the University of Wisconsin-Extension and was Co-Founder of Central Rivers Farmshed. He previously served as Vice President on the Point of Discovery School Governance Board and is active with CREATE Portage County. Solin wants to help make a positive impact in the success of our community.

The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin is a non-profit organization that provides scholarships, grants and opportunities to make Central Wisconsin a better place to grow, to work, to play and to retire.
