The Community Foundation proudly supports students in Portage and Waushara counties with over $325,000 in scholarships annually, thanks to the generosity of local individuals and families. Award amounts range from $500 to $40,000, opening doors to educational opportunities.

Tim Turner Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from a Portage County high school.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in the medical field with a GPA of 2.5 or above and be a person of strong character.

Vernon & Frieda Rosholt Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from Rosholt High School.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in the business field with a GPA of 3.0 or above.

William Cherek Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from Rosholt High School or Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in accounting with preference to members of St. Ladislus Catholic Church. Also open to members of St. Ladislus Catholic Church in any major of study.

Win & Nora Jensen Scholarship

Qualifications: Portage County resident.

Criteria for Selection: Attending a church affiliated and supported school or higher education with a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association-Associate Division Scholarship

Qualifications: Applicant must be or applicant’s immediate family must be employed by WPVGA or be a WPVGA grower or associate division member.

Criteria for Selection: Must have a 2.5 GPA
