Criteria for Selection: Was a member of the SPASH Girls Basketball team.

Ken & Helen M. Scheidt Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from Rosholt High School.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in the education field with a GPA of 2.75 or above.

Klismith Family Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating from a Portage County high school or current UWSP student.

Criteria for Selection: Interested in accounting or paper science at UWSP, GPA of 3.0 or above with demonstrated financial need.

Laura Davies Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from SPASH.

Criteria for Selection: Spent at least two years at McDill Elementary with a GPA of 3.0 or above and strong character to do what is right.

Laura Lee and Brian K. Johnson Fine Arts Scholarship

Qualification: Graduating seniors from SPASH.

Criteria for Selection: Excellence in vocal music, instrumental music, theater & drama, visual arts and creative writing.

LeRoy & Phyllis Heiser Basketball Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from SPASH.

Criteria for Selection: Member of the Boy’s or Girl’s varsity basketball program.

Lois & Margaret Walters Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from Wild Rose.

Criteria for Selection: Currently enrolled in a college, university or trade school.

MADA Custom Apparel Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating SPASH senior.

Criteria for Selection: Has participated in at least two varsity sports and has a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Malcolm & Margaret Rosholt Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from Rosholt High School.

Criteria for Selection: GPA of 3.0 or above and has participated in at least two years of one school activity and exhibits good citizenship.

Marie Colrud Gunther Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from Rosholt High School.

Criteria for Selection: Valedictorian of the Rosholt High School graduating class.

Mark Acaley Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from Hibbing High School (Hibbing, MN).

Criteria for Selection: Possesses strong math skills and interest.

Mark Worzalla Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Students attending a 2-year school, 4-year school or pursuing a certificate, majoring in an Agriculture related field or a Mechanical field.

Criteria for Selection: Demonstrated financial need and must be employed at a farm. Special Consideration for students double majoring in an agriculture field and a mechanical field.

Martha Jones Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from Wild Rose.

Criteria for Selection: Leadership and service as demonstrated in school and the community.

Mary Humphrey Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from Wild Rose.

Criteria for Selection: Demonstrated financial need.

Mary Margaret Pfohl Cain Remily Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduate or alumni of SPASH, Pacelli, or the Charles F. Fernandez Center.

Criteria for Selection: Applicant must be a single parent.

Please note, essays may be completed via a written format or via a short video.

Mary Thurmaier Foreign Language Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating SPASH senior.

Criteria for Selection: At least four years of foreign language and a GPA of 3.3 or above. Special consideration to those who studied Chinese or Arabic.

Mike Olson Cross Country Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating SPASH senior.

Criteria for Selection: A member of the Girls Cross Country Team with a GPA of 2.75 or above that has qualities of hard work and a love of running.

Mr. Pilsl Legacy Scholarship

Qualifications: Must be a student graduating from Wautoma or Wild Rose High School.

Applicants will need to complete a math problem provided and show their work to be eligible.

Murty Trust Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from Wild Rose.

Criteria for Selection: Demonstrated financial need.

Music Department Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from SPASH.

Criteria for Selection: Participate in instrumental or vocal music programs during high school.

Norman & Margaret Myhra Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Portage County residents seeking a post-secondary education.

Criteria for Selection: 2.5 GPA or above with an outstanding work ethic and demonstrated financial need.

North New Hope Lutheran Church Scholarship

Qualifications: Students attending or planning to attend a higher education institute.

Criteria for Selection: Active members of North New Hope Lutheran Church and have a GPA of 2.0 or better.

Peter C. Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: To a US citizen from Portage County.

Criteria for Selection: Must be majoring in education at UWSP with a GPA of 2.5 or above with demonstrated financial need.

Peter Friedrich Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating from a Portage County high school or a Portage County resident.

Criteria for Selection: Has a documented physical or learning disability and is in good academic standing with demonstrated financial need.

Point Bock Run Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating from a Portage County high school.

Criteria for Selection: Participate in at least two years, including senior year, in their high school cross country team with a GPA of 2.75 or above with demonstrated financial need.

Ray and Susan Kaercher Scholarship

The Ray and Susan Kaercher Scholarship Fund will provide scholarships to Portage County residents attending an institution of higher education. Scholarship may be renewed for a total of 4 years for students meeting eligibility requirements. Special consideration for minority students and first generation college students.

Richard Lee Biga II Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from SPASH.

Criteria for Selection: Students with outstanding work in Technical Education classes.

Ron Worzalla Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Beginning farmers majoring in an agriculture related field.

Criteria for Selection: Demonstrated financial need and must be employed at a farm. Special consideration for those pursuing work in dairy farming.

Rosholt Clinic Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from Rosholt High School.

Criteria for Selection: GPA of 3.0 or above that has excelled in community involvement.

Russell Phillips Scholarship

Qualifications: Portage County residents.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in agriculture, forestry or conservation at a school in Wisconsin.

Ruth Nelson Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from Rosholt High School.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in the business field with a GPA of 2.75 or above.

Ryan Wanta Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Portage County residents.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in childcare or early childhood education.

Sadie C. Uihlein Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from SPASH.

Criteria for Selection: Outstanding work and leadership in the Family & Consumer Sciences classes.

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from Rosholt High School.

Qualifications: Graduating Senior from a Stevens Point Area Public School District School or Pacelli

Criteria for Selection: Must be a part of the LGBTQ+ community.

Schwartz Family Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from SPASH.

Criteria for Selection: Demonstrated common sense, strong work ethic and excellent character.

Science Department Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from SPASH.

Criteria for Selection: Outstanding achievement in science.

Scott Schultz Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating high school seniors from SPASH and Pacelli.

Criteria for Selection: GPA of 2.75 or above with service to his/her community through volunteer work and organizational leadership.

Shaw Family Natural Resource Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from Rosholt High School.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in Natural Resources, Conservation or Environmental studies with a GPA of 2.5 or above.

Sheila Kokkeler Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from SPASH.

Criteria for Selection: Outstanding achievement and leadership in music or sciences.

SPASH Girls Soccer Club Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating SPASH senior.

Criteria for Selection: Participate on the SPASH girl’s soccer team.

Steffen Family Scholarship

Qualifications: A graduating senior or a recent graduate (within 2 years) from a Waushara County High School.

Criteria for Selection: To award an annual scholarship to a student that is studying criminal justice, fire services or library sciences. Preference will be given to students graduating from Wild Rose High School.

Stevens Point Area Education Association Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors.

Criteria for Selection: Special consideration if you have a parent that is an employee of the Stevens Point Area School District.

Stevens Point Area Retired Teachers Association Scholarship

Qualifications: Portage County resident.

Criteria for Selection: Pursing a degree in education with a GPA of 2.5 or above with community service and demonstrated financial need.

Stevens Point Elks Lodge 641 – Charities Inc. Scholarship

Qualifications: Applicant must be a Portage County student.

Criteria for Selection: Must be going into a skilled trades program. Special consideration given to students going into a construction trades program.

Stevens Point Rotary Club Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from a Portage County high school or plan to attend a Portage County post-secondary educational institute.

Criteria for Selection: Preference given to students active in Rotaract or Interact Clubs with community involvement. Demonstrates financial need.

Susan M. Zywicki Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating SPASH senior.

Criteria for Selection: GPA of 2.5 or above enrolling full time at UWSP or Mid-State Technical Institute with attributes of good citizenship and community service.

Tim Turner Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from a Portage County high school.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in the medical field with a GPA of 2.5 or above and be a person of strong character.

Vernon & Frieda Rosholt Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating seniors from Rosholt High School.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in the business field with a GPA of 3.0 or above.

William Cherek Scholarship

Qualifications: Graduating senior from Rosholt High School or Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School.

Criteria for Selection: Pursuing a degree in accounting with preference to members of St. Ladislus Catholic Church. Also open to members of St. Ladislus Catholic Church in any major of study.
