To fundraise for Central Rivers Farmshed, including capital campaigns and matching gifts. Distributions from the fund will support the operations and special projects of Central Rivers Farmshed.
Distributions from the fund will be used to increase autism awareness.
Distributions from the fund will be used to reimburse students (16 years and younger) who have successfully completed the Hunter Education Safety Program sponsored by the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.
In 2007, Cheri Smith celebrated 25 years in business as a successful real estate broker in Stevens Point. As a UWSP graduate in business and economics, she felt a scholarship was an important way to thank the community with a lasting gift to university students. Available to UWSP Juniors or Seniors in the School of Business and Economics.

C.O.L.L.E.G.E. Scholarship (Creating Opportunity for Local Learners to Explore Greater Education): Started in 2010 by the Community Foundation, this fund offers scholarships to Portage County residents who have shown community involvement / volunteerism and are seeking post-secondary degrees.
Through this Scholarship Fund, Community First Bank will award a total of a million dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors of Pacelli, SPASH, and Rosholt High Schools, through 2034.
To allow the Grants Committee of the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin to meet the most compelling needs in Portage County in any given year.
To develop and maintain the Community Stadium at Goerke Park.
This scholarship fund, established in 2006 by Jay and Linda Cook, will provide a scholarship each year to a graduating SPASH senior, who will be attending an accredited university. The applicant should illustrate a balance of academics and employment experiences.
To provide support for the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, the Riverfront Arts Center, the Women’s Fund of Portage County, and the Green Circle in equal amounts.
The Cultural Commons will create a garden and education space within Pfiffner Park to serve as an interactive and dynamic educational experience for all people. This space will establish a natural Point of Beginning along the Wisconsin River, leading to a greater understanding of and connection to our community’s past, present, and future multicultural heritage.
To support veteran’s activities as directed by the family.
This scholarship is in memory of Dan Zurawski and will award an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from a Portage County high school planning to enroll in the College of Natural Resources at UWSP or anyone enrolling in UWSP if there are no applicants meeting that criteria.
The fund supports the charitable and educational needs of Saint Mary’s Academy in Dominica and educational scholarships for students attending Saint Mary’s Academy in Dominica, as well as other charitable and educational uses as directed by the family.
To provide charitable contributions to various projects and organizations. Skip and Karen Karl have a wide variety of interests and potential projects to assist financially, including: Environmental issues (Plover River is especially mentioned); Early childhood programs (especially those impacting special needs children); St. Peter Church (Karen’s parents); St. Paul Lutheran Church (their family church); Cultural Commons Project at Pfiffner Park; Green Circle Trail; and/or Community Foundation Scholarship Funds of their choice.
This fund will provide an annual scholarship to a student attending an arts school, or to a student pursuing an arts major.
To provide scholarships to graduating seniors from SPASH and Pacelli planning to attend a four year college or university in Wisconsin and demonstrating a commitment to giving back to their community.
This fund was established with honorary gifts from Delta Dental for Dennis and Linda’s time with them upon retirement. The purpose of the fund is to meet the charitable wishes of Dennis and Linda Brown.
To provide a scholarship to a graduating senior from Stevens Point Area Senior High School with a special interest in English classes and writing.
To provide scholarships for children of employees of Delta Dental of Wisconsin and North Winds Technology Solutions who are attending an accredited institution of higher learning. Special consideration will be given to students who are the first generation in their family to attend an institution of high education.
To provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) who was involved with the wrestling program.
This scholarship, in memory of Don Hamerski, will be awarded to an applicant who is pursuing an education in agriculture, farming or agriculture-related business or trade and meets the application criteria.
This scholarship is open to SPASH senior men who have been on the cross-country team and have been accepted to a college, university, or technical College.
