Expanding Opportunity with The Connection Co.
Our March Voices of Impact session brought community members together for a thoughtful conversation about employment access, advocacy, and the power of investing in people. This month’s featured guest, The Connection Co., joined us to share their mission of helping job seekers with disabilities reach their employment goals and the growing impact of their work across our region.
Voices of Impact continues to serve as a monthly space where community members can gather, listen, and learn from the organizations, funds, and initiatives creating meaningful change in Portage and Waushara counties. With both in-person and virtual viewing options, the session welcomed participants from across the community to engage in this important conversation.
Supporting Job Seekers with Disabilities
The Connection Co. was founded with a clear purpose: to help job seekers with disabilities access meaningful employment while also supporting the professionals, advocates, and employers who make that progress possible.
During the session, the team shared insights into how their work connects individuals with resources, guidance, and opportunities that can help them succeed in the workforce. Their approach focuses not only on the job seeker, but also on building stronger systems of support around them ensuring employers, educators, and advocates have the tools they need to create inclusive workplaces.
Investing in Future Advocates
A key part of the conversation centered around The Connection Co. Scholarship Fund, which is held with our foundation. The fund provides scholarships to individuals who are passionate about empowering, educating, and advocating for people with disabilities.
Through this scholarship, The Connection Co. is investing in the next generation of leaders who are committed to advancing accessibility and opportunity in their communities.
During the discussion, speakers shared how important it is to support people who are dedicated to disability advocacy and inclusive employment. By providing financial support for education and professional development, the scholarship helps expand the network of individuals working to create more equitable systems.
A Space for Community Dialogue
Voices of Impact was created to spark conversations that highlight leadership, data, and collaboration across our region. Each session provides an opportunity to learn from organizations doing impactful work while encouraging community members to think about how they can contribute to positive change.
We are grateful to The Connection Co. for sharing their time, perspective, and commitment to expanding job access for people with disabilities.
If you missed the session, you can watch the full conversation on our YouTube channel. We hope you can join us for a future Voices of Impact event as we continue highlighting the people and initiatives strengthening our communities.
