Each year, the Community Foundation provides grants within our mission areas that focus on specific community needs. By giving to a Mission Fund, you have the opportunity to support community efforts you are passionate about while making a lasting impact.
Mission Funds support the focus of our mission while allowing donors to support community efforts they value without designating a specific charitable organization or program.

The Stevens Point Sculpture Park, a new community sculpture located on the scenic trail adjacent to the Green Circle Trail, is one project that received an Arts & Culture grant for their project “Impressions of Point.”
The mission of the Sculpture Park is to provide a welcoming and accessible outdoor venue for diverse work while enhancing the cultural life of our community.
During the first phase of the project, participants from five local groups, Boys & Girls Club of Portage County, PABS Point Area Bicycle Service, Hmong UPLIFT, Ignite Young Professionals, and the Polish Heritage Awareness Society, were able to create artwork in sand molds. Molten iron was then poured into the molds to create nearly 100 different pieces of art on this sculpture.
The purpose of this sculpture was to bring various community groups together to create a physical manifestation of what Stevens Point means to them. This community is truly about family, history, and legacy and this sculpture represents a lot of pride in our community – the parks we visit, the neighbors we see, and the nature that surrounds us.
