Impact Story: Karli Klismith

Jul 29, 2025 | General, News & Events

Karli Klismith’s connection to the Foundation runs deep – rooted in her childhood, nurtured by her family, and continuously strengthened through her unwavering commitment to making a lasting impact. Growing up, Karli was always familiar with the Foundation’s mission. Her father, a former board member and treasurer, often spoke of the organization’s vital role in the community. His stories of vision, action, and tangible change left a lasting impression on her, instilling in her a deep respect for the Foundation’s work.

When Karli joined the Board of Directors, she had seen firsthand how the Foundation’s mission aligned with her own values. When she met Jenny, the Community Foundation’s CEO, Karli was inspired by Jenny’s bold vision and compassionate leadership. This was an organization Karli could believe in, one where she could bring her energy, passion, and expertise to help create meaningful change.

In her current role as the Director of Human Resources at KerberRose, Karli is no stranger to leadership. With over eight years of experience in human resources, management, and operations, Karli’s expertise lies in talent development, employee relations, and recruitment, where her focus has always been on people, the heart of every successful organization. She believes that a thriving community begins with strong relationships, clear strategies, and shared goals.

One of the aspects of the Foundation that has particularly inspired Karli is the relationships she has built with fellow board members. She believes that meaningful change happens when people connect on a deeper level, when they truly understand one another’s strengths, passions, and perspectives. Karli is committed to fostering that sense of community, knowing that the Foundation’s success is rooted in the collective dedication and trust of its members.

What drives Karli the most, however, is the sheer dedication and passion she sees in those around her. The board members, the staff, and the volunteers are all united by a common goal, and that sense of purpose is contagious. Karli describes the Community Foundation as a “well-oiled machine,” with each part working together seamlessly, driven by a shared belief in the impact they’re making.

For Karli, this is what makes being part of the Community Foundation so powerful.

Thank you for being a dedicated board and community member. We are grateful for your passion, dedication, and commitment to the Community Foundation.
