Mission Fund Highlight: Community Mission Fund

This week, our Mission Fund Highlight is the Community Mission Fund of Portage County. This fund was established in 1998 as the Community Fund with a purpose to support the Community Grants Program.

This fund still supports our Community Grants process today. The Foundation’s Grants Committee is able to apply the interest from this fund to meet the most compelling needs in Portage County. This is a unique fund because it supports all five of our Mission Areas including: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Helping People, and Wellness. This fund gives our Grants Committee more flexibility when it comes to funding opportunities for projects and programs in Portage County.

When you make a gift to the Community Mission Fund, you have a direct impact on addressing the changing needs that that take place in our community.
